About us

We believe history is remembered best when it stops feeling like a list of dates and starts feeling like something that really happened. We create lively, immersive historical experiences designed to help children understand the people, events and everyday realities behind the history they study in the classroom.

 

Our presenter, Heather Rayner, brings history to life through animated storytelling, historical images and film, authentic sound, artefacts, eyewitness testimony and interactive participation.

 

Heather's current World War II programme has grown from extensive presentation work exploring wartime Britain and living memory, including the remarkable personal recollections of older people who experienced the 1940s themselves.

 

For schools, Heather adapts this material specifically for young audiences — making a vast and sometimes difficult period of history understandable for children encountering it for the first time, while creating the excitement and curiosity that lead naturally into further classroom learning.

 

Behind the presentations is a small support team helping with the organisation and administration that enables each school visit to run smoothly. Before each booking, we work with the school to understand its pupils, facilities and curriculum plans. Heather can then arrive thoroughly prepared, allowing teaching staff to concentrate on what matters most: giving children a history experience they will remember.
